In EmpowerID, a Location serves as a container for managing and organizing identity-related resources such as groups, roles, and applications. Each Location includes a configurable Usage Type (OrgZoneUsageType) that defines its functional role within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) framework — particularly how it interacts with Business Roles and Application Processes in the IAM Shop.
